Today the Republican National Committee sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request letter to the Internal Revenue Service in an effort to provide the American people with the facts related to the IRS’s targeting of conservative groups and donors—information that the Obama administration still has not adequately addressed.
As the IRS scandal continues to worsen for the White House, grassroots activists took to the streets today in Cincinnati and across the country to protest the targeting of conservative groups. “Our broken hearts go out to the families mourning the loss of their loved ones in Oklahoma. I cannot fathom the pain of parents who lost children when the tornado ripped through their school. We’re praying for them, and we pray for the first responders, volunteers, and neighbors still working to find the missing and help the injured.
WASHINGTON – Today, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus announced the RNC raised $7.2 million in April 2013, the first month after the release of the Growth and Opportunity report, bringing the committee’s cash on hand total to $9.8 million. As the party implements an unprecedented off-year field operation, the support from all levels of donors continues to be strong.
